Hammerson has filed revamped plans for the mixed-use office and retail Principal Place development in the Square Mile
The proposals for the mixed-use £350 million tower feature over 240 apartments and 591,000 sq ft of office space on Shoreditch High Street.
According to the Telegraph, the design is the work of Foster and Partners and takes into account the likelihood of companies looking for a new London headquarters.
Martin Jepson, London managing director at Hammerson, said: “The evolution of the scheme means we can now offer a high quality differentiated office product to City occupiers at a time when there is modest supply for this type of building.”
Hammerson’s initial plans for a development provisionally titled Bishops Place were shelved after they were met with vocal opposition from locals.
Chief among these was that the popular Light Bar would be demolished as well as feeling that the building would jar with its surroundings.
