Plans are pressing ahead to refurbish Sevendale House in Manchester, in one of the largest refits seen in the City for many years.
Redevelopment of the building, which is Grade 11 listed, will be undertaken by Philip J Davies Holdings and will create 61,000 sq ft of Grade A office space in the Northern Quarter of the city.
Tenants for the six floor development are expected to be largely made up of media companies, many of whom are already located in this part of Manchester.
Mark Davies, director of Philip J Davies, stated: “This is our first opportunity in 25 years to carry out the long-awaited renaissance of this significant building, which will also enhance the attractions of the Northern Quarter to office users requiring good quality space in a great location, whether it is creative industries that gravitate to this area or professional service companies.”
News of developments comes after surveyor Savills last week agreed a deal to lease the first floor of the Belvedere block on Manchester’s Booth Street, which encompasses some 13,700 sq ft of office space.
Savills is currently situated in Fountain Court.
