EON has secured office space in Nottingham city centre, it has been announced.
The energy giant has agreed a deal with developer Miller Birch for the block, which is due to be completed in early 2012 and is located on the corner of Burton and North Church Streets. Once finished, it will incorporate 105,000 sq ft over nine stories at the Guildhall site.
According to Mark Bielby, development director at Miller Birch, the office is the UK’s greenest thanks to a host of environmentally friendly building features.
As a result, it has secured a BREEAM excellent rating and an Energy Performance Certificate rating of ‘A’.
David Bird, customer service director at EON, commented: “Subject to planning approval, the building will be fitted out and ready for us to move into by June 2012, when our lease at Newland House expires.
“We have incorporated sustainable design principles, energy efficiency and green technologies to provide a first-class workplace for our staff.”
Miller Birch is a joint venture between Peter Gadsby and Miller Developments.
