DJD marketing 30,000 sq of Liverpool office space

liverpoolOffice space totaling some 30,000 square feet (sq ft) in Liverpool is being marketed by Drivers Jonas Deloitte (DJD).

The offices up for lease, which DJD is touting as ideal for providers of serviced office space, include 25,000 sq ft at the Novas Scarman Centre in the Baltic Quarter of the city.

Agents for DJD are also overseeing the lease process on behalf of UK Biobank for a further 5,000 sq ft at the Observatory building at One Old Haymarket.

Adam Robson, from Drivers Jonas Deloitte, said: “Liverpool’s office market has continued to hold up well throughout the recession, with some significant deals last year, such as the UK Border Agency’s move to The Capital, as well as a pre-let at Mann Island to the Mersey Passenger Transport Authority, proving its resilience.

“Demand is being driven by businesses that have either weathered the downturn and want to expand, or from those from outside the area that want to take advantage of competitive rental values in a vibrant and growing city.”

Mr Robson’s projections of improving conditions in the Liverpool office space market comes after Qire, which develops voice messaging telephony technology, recently agreed a deal to lease 4,000 sq ft  at 20 Chapel Street.
