Waitrose expands head office space

office blockSupermarket giants Waitrose have taken 30 thousand square feet of office space in Bracknell, in order to expand their current head office. 

Their current head office site covers just over 70 acres and employs 2 thousand. As well as the head office, the site is also home to the Waitrose national distribution centre, with serves more than 50% of the nations Waitrose branches.

The supermarket chain, part of the larger John Lewis Group, has taken office space at the nearby Panasonic building in Oldbury Road in Bracknell. 

The company needs more office space following the recent reorganisation of the national distribution centre.  Jones Lang LaSalle organised the acquisition for Waitrose; Head of the company’s Western Corridor Office, Guy Parkes said: 

“We were able to satisfy this urgent requirement very swiftly within two months of receiving instructions.

An off market deal was identified at the nearby Panasonic building in Olbury Road, Bracknell where we were able to agree a very flexible lease for three years with a two year break.”
