Banking giant HSBC has signed a 15 year high-end office space deal, giving it’s premier banking service a new Scottish home.
The office space at 141 Bothwell Street, Glasgow, cost £27.50 per square foot. HSBC have been interested in Bothwell Street as an office space option for a while; having previously considered Aurora at number 120.
The bank was stopped from making the deal when rivals Barclays prevented it by expanding their own office space into the ground floor and first floor of 120 last summer.
The bank will start using the new 18,750 square foot office space when the building is complete in December. This latest office space deal for the unfinished 141 Bothwell Street still leaves almost 200,000 square feet of the property available.
Law firm McGrigors took a 36,500 square foot prelet office space deal last year.
