The South West of England has become a hub of activity for the telecommunications and IT industries with large areas being dedicated to office space in this area.
Not only has this area become the second largest silicon chip design area in the world (Silicon Valley being the largest) but this cluster is also fostering a range of business start-ups.
Central to the fostering of new talent are “incubators” that offer office space, business advice from experienced entrepreneurs and access to potential investors and business professionals.
These office space “incubators” are run by SETsquared, a partnership of Universities of Bath, Bristol, Southampton and Surrey.
